God’s loving grace draws us near to Him. This brings me great peace. WE WILL SCREW UP THIS JOB. I do it on an hourly basis. My heart and my efforts are always coming from the motive of doing my utmost for His highest…that these children would grow up “mountain movers” in the faith.
And every time I falter, His grace steps in and covers over…
So let’s wake up every morning and meet with our Maker. Talk to Him in prayer. Serve our families. Teach and disciple our children. And when we mess it up, trust in His grace. Say out loud if we must, “I am the righteousness of God because of Jesus Christ. I am forgiven for every error and sin. By His grace and through His wisdom I will raise up these children to accomplish His purpose.”
This job is not dependent upon our perfection but completely based in HIS.
And then REST. And TRUST. And REJOICE. Because He has a plan that is far beyond what we can ask, hope, or imagine and His will is perfect concerning our children. They will move mountains.

Another good post. I, too, catch myself and throw in the humor or just stop myself, apologize and move forward. Thanks Lyette for spurring us on to do parenting well, know we have second chances and that we and our children always have the opportunity for grace.
