Our ladies Bible study began yesterday. Even before 6:00AM mommies were pouring in my door. Some I had seen before but there were so many new faces. I was blessed to hug each one and get to know them and hear about their precious families. Smiling faces, coffee in hand, come 6:05 they were all sitting down with notebook in hand….ready to learn.
I was humbled. The look in their hungry eyes so recognizable. It was like looking in the mirror more than 30 times over. Every one of them committed to getting mommyhood right. Marriage right. Life right. Man, do I understand.
As we went around the room making introductions, one mom who had been a part of several of my other studies, had brought four friends…including her sister! Over and over it was, “Jan brought me,” “Jan told me to come,” “Jan said I needed to be here…”

Jan and her precious family
and then came Jan’s turn….”These mamas are all from my street! We are rebuilding the nation over on my street!”
And I wanted to cry.
Scream.
Jump up and down.
Run around waving my flag and shouting “God Bless AMERICA!”
Because Jan gets it.
And her friends are getting it too.
Moms and Dads, the secret to a stronger America is rebuilding the foundations of faith and family.

The family is the smallest unit of governance. Faith is the government of any family…even those who have no faith! Faith, what we believe, leads and guides every decision we make. Every decision with our vote, our pocketbooks, and our very lives.
So doing life alongside these sisters in Christ, and the countless thousands they now represent to me as I envision each one of you moms (and dads) on the other side of this screen, is my joy. We are rebuilding the nation one family, one street, one neighborhood, one town, one county, one state at a time.
And for those of my precious readers who live outside our nation’s borders, (because we have readers from EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY), I’m believing that you too will begin restoring the foundations of faith and family in your own homes, streets and towns.
Because that’s always how revival starts. We’re just fanning the flames of a fire lit long ago.

I love and am inspired by everything about this! It has certainly got me thinking about what I can do in my own neck of the woods (New Zealand). Thanks for making me think 🙂
