So I’ve really been working out these last couple of months. Blissy has been my compadre at the gym, and we’ve enlisted my friend Brenda to train us. Brenda has really been working us hard.
And the other day Brenda said something. While I was whimpering she said, “With every rep or set you do– once it starts hurting– that is new fitness and strength being developed…so keep pushing!”
I thought that was pretty profound.
Because sometimes, in parenting, there is pain.
Fatigue.
And we have to push through.
Mature.
Keep marching.
Sometimes we may be slowed to a crawl or we may flat out stumble, but if we realize that each pain produces new strength, that we are developing our mommy muscles…well then we can push right on through!
So power on, parents.
Keep developing those muscles and strength as you endure growing pains as parenting pushes you beyond what you ever thought you were capable of. Just know that the pain and fatigue is growing your faith and ability to new heights!
