ARLINGTON, Va. (AFPN) — Christmas wreaths adorn head stones at Arlington National Cemetery. The 14th annual wreath laying event is the result of Worcester Wreath Company’s owner Morrill Worcester’s, childhood dream of doing something to honor those laid to rest in the national cemetery. More than 5,000 donated wreaths were placed by volunteers this year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Jim Varhegyi)
Religion.
Seems like we can’t say too much these days about religion without someone getting offended.
But there is one way we can all practice religion, and be sure that what we are doing is pleasing to God.
“Religion that God the Father accepts is this: caring for orphans or widows who need help; and keeping yourself free from the world’s evil influence. This is the kind of religion that God accepts as pure and good.” James 1:27
Who can deny that caring for those who have lost a loved one is not something that pleases God?
And that is exactly what we are doing this Christmas at BelieveWithMe.com.
We have over 230 kids signed up to receive Christmas gifts from #gratefulamericans just like you. These kids have lost their fathers to terrorist attacks, IEDs, RPGs, PTSD and even cancer.
Every family on our website is a testimony to surviving.
To overcoming.
To the cost of American freedoms and security.
To the loved ones left behind.
Join us at BelieveWithMe.com and the American Gold Star Christmas project. Please participate by sponsoring a Gold Star Child, purchasing from our Amazon wish list for wrapping supplies, or just donate to the cost of the project and let us do the shopping for you! You’ll be practicing what our faith in God teaches us — that we should look out for the widows and orphans in their distress, that we should mourn with those who mourn, bring comfort when we can, and you’ll be showing these precious families that we have not forgotten their everyday sacrifices on our behalf!
