Promises in Parenting

Promise“All the promises of God are yes and amen in Jesus…” (NKJV)

Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the yes of Jesus. In Him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete. 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (The Message)

Jesus is the fulfillment of every promise.  He gave healing to every person who asked.  He blessed wee children.  He pardoned and released from consequences every one who came to Him.  He forgave quickly, loved openly and served tirelessly. With Jesus, everything was a yes.  Even when his boys (the disciples) dropped the ball, stepped out of turn, and behaved unbecomingly, He continued to work in and through them and uses them even today through their testimonies and writings in the New Testament.

With Jesus, it was always yes.

So as you consider your goals, your dreams for the upcoming year, remember that with God, all things are possible.

You CAN change your marriage and make it even better.

You CAN raise these kids.  You CAN.

You CAN get out of debt.

Make a difference in your workplace.

Reach your loved ones with the love of Jesus.

Repair friendships.

Overcome addictions.

Power through problems that seem looming today– but by this time next year– they’ll be in your rearview mirror.

With the POWER of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, living inside of you, there is nothing impossible for you.

ALL His promises are YES and AMEN.

ALL His goodness and kindness…

ALL His love and strength…

ALL His mercy and grace…

It’s all available for you.  All of it ready to be called on and brought into any situation in your life, all for your taking and need.  He is ready, able, and willing to help you…

So remember that as you make your goals for this year.  Remember that as you sit with your pen and paper in hand, focus on the things you’re hoping for in 2015 rather than the things you are regretful about or afraid of.  Don’t let your problems stand in the way of the impossible things God wants to do through your life.  ALL His promises are YES and AMEN through Jesus, because of the price He willingly paid for you to HAVE God’s favor!
