It would seem after all our teaching and encouraging our children, that they would KNOW we value their dreams, ideals, and goals, right? You would think so. But don’t take that for granted.
Children need reminding from time to time, some need it more frequently than others, that their home is the safest place to share their most intimate thoughts, their most highest goals. They need to be told that there is NO SAFER PLACE than around your dining room table, or at night before they are tucked in, to discuss their innermost desires. The child may have purpose and passion, but they need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the one place they can share all of it without any fear, is with their parents and their siblings. The world will laugh enough at them, doubt them, tear them down. But none of that should even be a concern inside your four walls. EVER. This simple fact should go without saying…but trust me, it needs to be said to them. Remind them. Constantly.
