^^ My face, with broken glasses, after all the social media craziness over the election…
I know, it’s been a heckuva week. We’ve had an election and there’s so much tension in the air. Our nation has been divided over so many issues and people and directions and challenges and my word how do we even begin to move forward?
I have a solution.
As a nation, one thing we can hopefully all agree upon is that the cost of our freedoms didn’t come cheap. Blood spilled over the last two centuries and on nearly every continent against various regimes, dictatorships and enemies both foreign and domestic have taken a toll on ol’ Glory and all of her children.
The Christmas season is fast approaching.
Why not take a moment to appreciate those families who have paid for our freedoms with a donation to our non-profit BelieveWithMe? Currently, we have Gold Star families all over the nation registering their children to receive Christmas gifts from #gratefulAmericans just like you. Last year we served 168 Gold Star kids, and this year we already had more than that sign up in 72 hours!
You can give a donation towards gifts or the project as whole– or you can purchase our wrapping supplies for the children’s gifts from our Amazon Wish List here.
We have another “House That Love Built” project in the works as we seek to surprise another Gold Star mom and dad with a new home. We’ll be sending Gold Star wives a special Valentine’s Day gift and of course, we won’t forget our Gold Star Moms this Mother’s Day.
So if you’re looking for a way to unify our country, to show gratitude for your freedoms no matter the direction you feel this country may be going, if you’re a patriot who’s heart is overflowing with gratitude, then join us at BelieveWithMe. Sign up here if you are interested in volunteering. Share our website with your social medias so that more Gold Star families can get in on the goods! Share it so that your friends and family can learn about a way they can bring hope and help to those we all owe a deep debt of gratitude.
