So I have a wee little secret I have been keeping from all of you…over the last several months…
David and I are expecting baby #16 early this November!
We’ve been cautious to announce because we have endured more than a few hardships since our newest addition’s conception. I actually discovered we were expecting on Good Friday….but by the end of the day I was bleeding quite heavily. A doctor’s appointment the following Monday revealed that I was 9 weeks along and that there was a substantial subchorionic hemorrhage — which is a fancy way to say that the amniotic sac had torn away from the uterus and was causing bleeding. The likelihood of a miscarriage was looming as I was put on bedrest. Two weeks slowly ticked by and still no improvement in the bleeding or the tear.
I decided to return to a somewhat normal routine and just lay off lifting Stone and bending over abruptly. Amazingly, and I attribute this to the steady prayers of my dearest friends and family, two more weeks past and the hemorrhage was gone! My doctor still wanted me to “take it easy” and so I kept our pregnancy a secret.
Bleeding has been intermittent and at times a bit scary, but until last week my OB couldn’t explain why. Finally after a level 2 ultrasound, it was discovered that the placenta is over the cervix. Once again, I’ve been told to slow down a bit and even though we aren’t quite out of the woods with this pregnancy, in faith I wanted to share with you our good news. I’m believing God for a healthy baby this November!
So here’s a little picture of me, looking like I’m about ready to pop, even though I am only a little more than halfway through the pregnancy! God bless each and every one of you and your families this Independence Day! Remember the price for your freedom and say a prayer for our nation. Remember all of our Gold Star, Silver Star, and Blue Star families and pray for their hearts to be healed, their wounded loved ones, and for their family members still in active service. Freedom isn’t free!

Yay! I’ve been thinking about you as we both had miscarriages close together and as I have been going through this pregnancy. We aren’t far apart in due dates. I will pray for safety and health for you both. So excited for you!

Ahh. Congrats. Our babes will be two months apart – I’m so excited ! I had the same experience with my first pregnancy … Tons of bleeding mainly in the first trimester then my placenta was over the cervix as well. Scary considering it was my first pregnancy and we had been patiently waiting for over a year … But Grady is perfect! Believing the same for you!

I went through the SAME exact situation with my 4th pregnancy. I had 5 subchorionic hemorrhages passing large 4 in clots. I had complete placenta previa. Moderate bed rest my whole pregnancy. Pelvic rest. Low amniotic fluid. My daughter developed IUGR. I delivered June 12, 2015 at 38 weeks2 days. My daughter is now 3 weeks old! Her birth weight was 6 lbs 7 oz and she was 16.5″ long. God works in mysterious ways.
