She’s fourteen.
And I can NOT believe it.
I still remember her as my little velcro of a child when she was five years old who just had to have hug after hug before bed. She became a voracious reader and a silent serious competitor in sports. She is simply the sweetest young girl but she has a fiery side and doesn’t let much slide.
And don’t bother arguing with her. She won’t fight often but when she does, she is right. Right as rain. And doesn’t back down even though her sweet demeanor completely unarms her opponent.
Glory Grace was named so because I love this country, I love our banner Old Glory, and I knew that God would use this child to bring Him Glory and she is surely the most grace-filled young lady I have ever met. Forgiving. Loving. Thoughtful. And intelligent beyond belief.
Today she is at camp and I am missing her like crazy. I hope her cabin mates wake her up singing Happy Birthday and I sincerely pray she enjoys every minute with her friends. PLease join me in wishing my sweet and beautiful Glory Grace a happy birthday and please pray for her today…I know God is doing something amazing at our Family Church Student Camp and I am praying the Lord will move mightily in her heart!
