Today’s the day.
Finally it is here.
In less than 18 hours we should know who our next Commander in Chief is. (Unless this is like the year 2000!)
I’ve heard it all. People embarrassed about Trump. (I’m not.)
People elated about Hillary. (I’m not.)
People not willing to cast a vote either way. (Too many precious lives have been sacrificed for that freedom to go to waste.)
People writing in a candidate. (I get it – your conscience is conflicted….but there really is no point to that.)
People voting for a third party. (Again, I did that in 1992. Those of us that voted for Perot are really the ones who put Bill Clinton in office.)
People putting all their hope for the future of our nation in one candidate or the other. Hating on anyone who disagrees. Spewing vitriol for any opposing view.
And the truth is, that no matter who sits in the Oval Office, I know who’s on the throne.
God is sovereign. He is good. He hasn’t forgotten about America and He hasn’t turned His back on us. No matter how many times I hear the rhetoric about how we as a nation have turned our back on God and He is handing out judgement to us, I remember that the Lord told Abraham that if there were even just 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah, he would spare the city. I have seen revival spreading and churches growing. I know that our God is on the move among our nation.
So hang onto your hats, folks. Today is going to be one the most interesting days of our lifetimes.
God bless you, no matter who you cast your vote for…and God Bless America.
