Thank you so very much for serving our nation. Thank you for being the selfless 1% willing to offer up your life on our behalf.
Thank you that my children are able to receive an education. To play sports. To attend dances. And play their music and enjoy their youth.
Thank you that we are able to choose our own profession. Able to make a living. And can pay taxes that you and yours may be compensated.
Thank you that we can attend church. Worship and pray.
Thank you for roads, schools, firehouses, and every municipal building and entity…those things were paid for with tax dollars…but those tax dollars would have never been earned without your service.
Thank you, in short, for everything we have as Americans.
The obvious and the mundane.
All of it has been paid for by the precious blood of over 1.3 million lives, millions more injured and still millions more who answered the call to serve in the first place.
To all of you, I say thank you. I can only repay you with the way I raise my children to appreciate all that you have given us, with the decision to bring up my babies that they will honor your sacrifice by how they live their lives. Thank you Veterans. God bless each and every one of you and your sweet families that have also bore the cost for our freedom. May God richly bless you all.
