Still reeling from the excitement of Friday night, I left my home early in the morning to meet up with my good friend and photographer Sally Prissert who took the most beautiful photos of our Gold Star Mothers. American Gold Star Mothers Inc. is actually a veterans service organization that dedicates time to serve the local heroes of our armed forces. They find a lot of healing through serving our men and women of the military.
This sweet woman was actually one of Courson’s NICU nurses. At the time her son was serving as an F18 pilot.
Later in the evening, we took the moms out for a sunset cruise aboard the Oasis. A new local restaurant in Wellington, Bolay, provided the food. Well, they provided the boat too. This picture is of Ryli, Bliss and I with Tim and Chris Gannon…great guys and generous as can be.
Chris’s wife Jacqui is due any day with their first baby!
I love seeing these women smile.
Ryli got this picture of all of them photographing the lighthouse as we went by. It really was an incredibly relaxing evening all every Gold Star Mom remarked about how wonderful it was to just sit and enjoy one another’s company. I just can not thank each and every one of you enough for giving towards such an incredible weekend for America’s Gold Star Mothers.
